I feel like it’s fair to say that we’re in the middle of a skin care renaissance, right? The baking, contouring and matte liquid lipstick makeup days of 2015 are long over, and the past few years have been dominated by moisturizers, serums, eye creams and slugging — my god, all the slugging.

While scrolling endlessly on #SkinTok and spending an entire paycheck on new skin care products is a classic pastime, online beauty retailer Dermstore was curious what skin care brands Americans looked toward the most.

Thanks to Google searches and Dermstore’s own website data from the last 12 months, the company pinpointed the most popular skin care brand in every single state. Well, are you ready to find out?

According to the data collected by Dermstore in January 2022, Skinceuticals was the most searched-for brand in 30 out of 50 states, including New York, California, Texas and Florida. Drugstore favorite CeraVe followed in second place, topping search results in 15 states.

The (clearly) popular SkinCeuticals has been dropping high-end and high-performing skin care for decades in a mission to improve skin health. Every product they sell is backed by science and born from decades of skin cancer research.

If you haven’t hopped on the SkinCeuticals train yet, shop some of their most popular products below! Yes, they’re all as good as you think.

1. SkinCeuticals C E Ferulic, $166

Dermatologists and skin care lovers of all ages agree that the SkinCeuticals C E Ferulic is truly the gold standard when it comes to a vitamin C serum. It’s even won a handful of awards. The high concentrations of pure vitamin C, vitamin E and ferulic acid even out pigmentation and prevent damage throughout the day.

2. SkinCeuticals Triple Lipid Restore 2:4:2, $130

The name of this fan-favorite moisturizer refers to the ratio of hydrating and anti-aging lipids it contains — 2% ceramides to 4% cholesterol to 2% fatty acids. Not only will this smooth out any fine lines and wrinkles, but it’ll also add plumpness back to your skin.

3. SkinCeuticals Purifying Cleanser, $35

With a combination of glycolic acid and glycerin, this conditioning gel cleanser simultaneously removes any makeup, sweat, dirt and other impurities and hydrates the skin.

4. SkinCeuticals Retinol 0.3, $67

Recommended for first-time retinol users, Retinol 0.3 from SkinCeuticals corrects past damage on your skin while you sleep. Powered by encapsulated retinol and botanical extracts, this nighttime formula exfoliates skin to reduce the appearance of blemishes while also alleviating irritation and inflammation.

5. SkinCeuticals AOX Eye Gel, $95

This eye gel is made with a powerful antioxidant blend that includes 1% phloretin, 5% l-ascorbic acid (vitamin C), and 0.5% ferulic acid. Together, they form this advanced age-fighting serum gel to protect your very delicate eye area.
