Lines form to enter the CEW Beauty Bazaar.
Cosmetic Executive Women, (CEW) presented its first-ever Beauty Bazaar at Chelsea Industrial in New York City, on September 15. The event, which featured souk-like sampling, and attendee participation, showcased the 2022 Beauty Creators Awards Finalists; essentially, the year’s best beauty product innovations. The immersive event, a pre-cursor to the Beauty Creators Awards luncheon, featured all 250+ Beauty Creator Awards finalists, as well as an opportunity to meet industry executives and entrepreneurs, experience a range of beauty services, and cast a vote for your favorites on-site. Award winners will be announced at the Beauty Creators Awards luncheon, on Nov. 11, 2022.

The Bazaar was organized across 33 product categories, which included Scent (Bath & Body, Men’s & Women’s Scent); Hair (Shampoo, Conditioner, Coloring and Tools); Skin (Cleanser, Anti-Aging, Eye Treatment, Face Masks, Lip Treatment, Moisturizer, Sun Product and Skincare Tools); Makeup (Eye Product, Face Product, Lip Product, Makeup Tools and Nail Products); and Wellness (including Sexual Wellness, CBD, Personal Care, Men’s Grooming); the Indie Brand Special Award, presented by Financo Raymond James; Indie Skincare; the Iconic Beauty Award; Sustainability Excellence Award, presented by Firmenich; Launch of the Year; Retailer of the Year; Influencer of the Year; and the Ingredients & Formulation Award, presented by New York Society of Cosmetic Chemists (NYSCC).
“For 29 years, the CEW Beauty Awards have represented the industry’s highest honor: Selected by beauty executive insiders and experts, the CEW awards are trusted by consumer beauty enthusiasts seeking the most innovative products,” observed CEW President Carlotta Jacobson.
The inaugural event, held in two sessions (afternoon and evening), represented a new way to introduce the nominees in all categories, while offering a hands-on experience.
“This year, we revealed the 2022 finalists at our debut Beauty Bazaar, a brand new, immersive and elevated members-only event,” Jacobson.

Chicks on the Go; hair styling techniques with Dyson products; customized skincare regimens with Drunk Elephant; Body Art Markers, by Body Mark; and the opportunity to experience a tattoo, without the permanence, from Inkbox.
Guests were also invited to join the Creators Corner, where cosmetic and personal care ingredients featuring green chemistry and clean beauty, offered in smaller quantities, were available to indie brands. There was also a Beauty Sampling Workshop, created by RPG, and fulfilled by PIMS, as well as a lounge presented by Amazon Premium Beauty. CVS Pharmacy provided skin analysis, featuring the Skinscope, as well as product recommendations; and a Beauty Bazaar giftbag brimming with products from the Beauty Creators finalists and entrants, was presented to each attendee at the conclusion of each event session.
